Casie Tavares-Stoeckel


Casie was first introduced to Metropolitan Pediatrics through the birth of her son, Wiliam, in 2017.  Casie received a Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  After her undergraduate education, Casie worked in child life  at the Children's Hospital of Alabama, Birmingham. Following her work in Alabama, she relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to work in anesthesia neuroimaging research at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.   After working in Boston, Casie enrolled in the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing to Master of Science in Nursing program at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.


While attending Regis College, Casie received extensive training with the underserved and uninsured population at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital for Children . For the past five years, Casie has been working as a primary care nurse practitioner at a pediatric practice in Northern Virginia.  Casie is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Casie has clinical interest in working with adolescents and patients with behavioral health concerns as well as the general pediatric population.


Casie  enjoys outdoor activities with her husband (Luke), son (William), and Boston Terrier (Bucky). Casie looks forward to meeting new families and helping patients lead healthy and happy lives.
